She serves as area chair of the Romance Writers and Writing panels for the national Popular Culture Association Conference and Mid-Atlantic Popular Culture Association and American Culture Association Conference. Her publications include The Picara: From Hera to Fantasy Heroine and articles in The Culture of Celebra-tions, Heroines of Popular Culture from Popular Press,in Andrew Greeley's World (Warner), and in Chocolate: The Food of the Gods (Greenwood).
